How to Measure for a Saree Blouse

Soft Measuring Tape
Use a flexible vinyl or fabric tape; never use a stiff metal carpenter tape.
Wear Desired Bra
Measure while wearing the specific undergarment you plan to wear with your blouse.
Stand Naturally
Keep your posture upright and relaxed without puffing your chest or sucking in your stomach.
Firm But Not Tight
Hold the tape snug against the skin without digging in or pulling uncomfortably.
Key Measurement Points (Inches)
Bust Circumference
Wrap the measuring tape horizontally around the fullest part of your bust. Ensure the tape is straight across your shoulder blades at the back. Do not pull too tight.
Standard range: 32" – 48"+Underbust / Below Bust
Measure directly underneath your bust along your ribcage, exactly where the bottom waistband of the blouse will sit. This determines the secure grip of the blouse.
Standard range: 26" – 42"Blouse Length
Measure vertically from the highest point of your shoulder (where shoulder meets the neck), straight down over the apex of the bust to your desired bottom edge.
Standard range: 13.5" – 15.5"Shoulder Width
Measure across the back from the tip of the left shoulder bone to the tip of the right shoulder bone, curving gently across the base of the neck.
Standard range: 13.5" – 16.5"Armhole Circumference
Wrap the tape around the arm socket from the top of the shoulder down under the armpit and back to the top. Keep arm relaxed at your side.
Standard range: 14" – 20"Sleeve Length & Round (Bicep)
Measure from the shoulder tip down to desired length (Cap: 4", Short: 6-7", Elbow: 10-11", 3/4th: 15-16", Full: 20-22"). Also record the circumference of the arm at that point.

Place the tape at the inner shoulder seam point and measure diagonally down across the chest to the center point where you want the front neckline to end.
Standard: 6.5" – 7.5"Back Neck Depth
Measure from the inner shoulder seam diagonally down your back to where you want the back opening. For deep-back or backless designs, measure to your comfort level.
